Dear art enthusiasts,
With Alona Harpaz and Kaja Al Attar, the gallery of the non-profit initiative Kultur am See Bad Saarow e.V. continues to focus on strong painterly positions by female artists who explore nature as a material and foundation of our existence from different perspectives.
The exhibition’s title, “Ten Minutes to Landing,” taken from an announcement to flight personnel, refers to a period of heightened focus and perception, which is evoked through this display.
Alona Harpaz, born in Israel and now based in Berlin, has long focused her artistic expression on painting, particularly her floral works, which have been widely exhibited. In recent years, she has also ventured into video art, gaining attention with her debut video trilogy, SALT.
Kaja Al Attar, born in Kassel, is a versatile contemporary artist who currently lives and works in Werder, Berlin, and Kassel. She studied at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), specializing in audiovisual media and media design, including film and television. Her background in media art has shaped her approach, which frequently shifts between different media and concepts.
