Past exhibition
December 10 - March 10, 2022
Overview
Virtual exhibition

There is a thin red line leading from Richard Wagner straight to Hollywood. And most recently also to the art of Dennis Rudolph. In his new work for the Mozilla Hubs space of Bark Berlin Gallery he reaches out to Wagner’s idea of the Gesamtkunstwerk. “Wahnfried” is written in neon lights on the walls of the digital gallery. The name of Wagner’s house in Bayreuth — a combination of the two German words for calmness and madness. Wahnfried was the place where Wagner composed his most famous operas and Rudolph’s Wahnfried in the meta verse is conceived as a similar place of inspiration where we get an intimate insight into the main source of his artistic practice: the Virtual Reality and „Das Portal“ at its center.
